What a crazy amazing night! So much fun!
Thank you to everyone that got involved, dressed up and skated their legs off! To our staff and volunteers (ramp man special mention!) And all our supporters.
The night kicked off with a special Tony Hawks Pro Skater challenge. Hidden about the building were loads of letters spelling S.K.A.T.E and the first to collect a complete set won a Birdhouse deck with THPS graphics donated by Lewis (a friend of the boarding school).
Following that we had the first of three best trick jams on our spooky obstacles. First up was the Tombstone of Terror!
Then Ben had devised a game that gave everyone a fair shot at a prize, Scoring Zone. Skaters got one push, no shimmies or tic tacs to get themselves into a scoring zone to get points. It was pretty hard to get the perfect push and not fly through the points and go out!
Following that another best trick jam, this time on the new Volcano of Doom! Everyone had a go at getting over, and some even aired the whole thing.
Then it was time for the Cursed Raffle. Cursed because you might not want to win these prizes haha. We need to make space for some new ramps so we raffled off some of our old ones as well as some stranger things we've made over the years, Death Box teapot anyone?! Whilst our rippers were stoked to win a whole ramp, there were some puzzled looks on parents faces when it came to pick up time. Sorry, not sorry.
Last best trick jam, but no one seemed that keen on trying the bridge of death....hmmmm so it was just a free for all across the whole park!
Some great skating from everyone and some huge NBDs too.
Ramp man was on hand all night to offer an extra boost!
