2025 is here!

Wow, whata year! We hope everyone has had a great Christmas and new year break and you've all made some positive resolutions to skate more!

We've got some big plans for 2025. First are some new ramps, which I know have been a bit delayed but they are coming, promise! These ramps will also increase the amount of deck space for skaters waiting to drop in, which will make the whole place feel more roomy for sure.

We're also going to be adding a banked hip to the layout, which will switch up the flow, open up some more lines and keep the street heads flipping happy.

We're also gearing up for the South Glos awards night (17th Feb feels a long way away lol) and we'll be asking for your ideas for a half term trip then too! Canni wait!!!

Now for a little look back at 2024, and some quick highlights...

Jan-Feb-Mar:

We started last year with a wicked 'Design-a-Deck' with the 4 finalists each winning their board printed for keeps! Red Rails built us a fantastic new bump to rail to help get skaters their first grinds, and we had 10 young people attend the South Glos awards, showing off their fingerboard park table centre piece and collect awards for skill development and volunteering in the community!

April-May-June:

A group of 10 young people skated over 6 hours in drizzly rain along the cycle track to raise £1200 for Move The Mind, a Bristol charity helping young people with additional needs.

We also hit up the annual Bradley Stoke skatepark comp where we had 6 young people enter.

July-August-Sept:

We smashed out two weekend residentials, one to Newquay to surf and skate and the second to PGL Activity centre to climb, swing and go crazy.

We also attended the Thornbury Skatefest and hosted our own Jam with Creative Youth Network at Warmley skatepark, giving away £1k in prizes.

Oct-Nov-Dec:

October saw our Halloween jam which was full of games, prizes and some crazy stunts over our scary obstacles and ramp man!!!

We also started our new project lighting up dark skateparks over the winter and Skate after School with Bristol Brunel Academy.

In December, to sign off the year we joined our friends at Campus Park for a Christmas Jam and a merry farewell!

Just a whistle stop tour of the year, and missing loads of fun things out but we're hoping we can make 2025 even busier, even bigger, even more badass!
